Apa Villas is a small boutique hotel offering some of the most refined accommodation on the resplendent south coast, situated in a coconut grove on the beach at Thalpe. The villa overlooks a magnificent coral beach where stilt fishermen can still be seen. Apa Villas is named after the founder of the Apa Guides – later to become famous as the Insight Guides – Hans Hoefer, and his eye for photography and design has ensured a property of considerable beauty
From the moment you walk through the entrance way, it exudes style and charm. A long infinity pool appears to blend with the Indian Ocean beyond. A small library and board games enhance the intelligent atmosphere. Suites possess refreshing half-open bathrooms, rooms with sofa bed and king-size bed, mosquito nets, dressing table, terrace table, cement floors.

Accommodation
There are 3 villa houses in the estate as follows:
Saffron Villa / Suites – The main house which has a large central living room filled with books. A long terrace leads into two suites.
Cardamom Villa / Suites – Are made up of two large suites. Each suite has a double bed, bathroom, walk in wardrobe and a sitting room. The verandah, colonial-style banquette and chaise longue, faces the swimming pool and is comfortable for four persons or a family with children.
Cinnamon Suites – Consist of two splendid units. Each suite comes with a double bedroom, a bathroom, living room and beach-front terrace.
The two main villas are linked by a charming central courtyard. Meals can be eaten in a communal dining area, but are often served privately on your own verandah. There is a large garden with coconut groves. Relatively safe swimming is possible in the sea about 400m to the south
Facilities
Relax your mind and body with an in-suite massage followed by an herbal flower bath. Apa Villas has a Range Rover with driver which can be hired out for day trips or excursions. Apa Villas has a permanent staff of 11, from housekeeper to night watchman, as well as British managers, giving attentive service!
