Itinerary

Day 1: PANNALA

Your driver will meet you at the airport and transfer to your hotel in Pannala. Rest of the day you can relax with a swim and explore a coconut grove and farm within the property.

Day 2: PANNALA > KNUCKLES

After breakfast you begin your trip traveling to Knuckles through the rural villages and scenic roads to reach the Knuckles mountain range, named after its uncanny likeness to human knuckles, the Knuckles Mountain Range is a gorgeous UNESCO World Heritage Site and a popular spot for hikers. The dense forest, surrounded by 34 mystical mountains that range from 900 to 2,000 metres, is home to stunning hiking trails.

Day 3: KNUCKLES MOUNTAIN RANGE

Although hiking is the biggest lure in Knuckles, the conservation site has plenty of other noteworthy attractions to visit. Meemure is a lazy rural village deep inside the forests. With beautiful streams and waterfalls, it offers mesmerising views and photograph-worthy vistas. It is a little-known attraction, even among locals, so it’s easy to have an experience minus the selfie sticks and loud tourists. Mingle with the villagers, who are more than happy to converse, and discover Sri Lanka’s much-famed hospitality.

Day 4: KNUCKLES > KITULGALA

After breakfast you depart Knuckles to Kitulgala through rural villages and rubber plantation. Check in at Borderlands tented camp in time for a Sri Lankan authentic lunch. In the evening you can go on the white water rafting stretch approximately 6.5 kilometres in length. Hike down one of the river’s side canyons where you will have the opportunity to jump into plunge pools, wade across “potholes,” and shoot down a few slides. The Lower Kelani River is the second leg of combined rafting and cannoning trip.

Day’s 5 & 6: KITULGALA > BELIHULOYA

Breakfast at the camp site and then proceed to Belhuloya through a series of tea plantation where you can stop for tea experience. The surrounding mountains, rivers, reservoirs make Belihuloya an adventure capital for adventure lovers which links the dry and wet zones at an altitude of 616m.

Dive soul-first into forest trekking, adrenaline-filled zip lining, discovery canoeing, extreme birding, wild village walking, Cycling, Rock climbing and an early morning trek to Horton Plains and World’s End. Your visit to Belihuloya gives you plenty of options in terms of attractions. For the historian, adventurer, nature lover, or curious tourist in you, Belihuloya has something for everyone.

Day 7: BELIHUL OYA > UDAWALAWE

After breakfast travel to Udawalawe, a small town popular for its wildlife. Late afternoon you can go on a private jeep safari to Udawalawe National Park to observe wild elephants in herds, raptors, crocodiles, peacock and variety of birdlife. This national park is popular for wild elephants numbering over 150 individuals. .

Day’s 8, 9 & 10: UDAWALAWE > MIRISSA

Today morning you can visit the Elephant Transit Home at Uda Walawa a habitation centre, a hospital, a healing centre for baby elephants and on completion you will be driven to Mirissa Sri Lanka’s premier coastal area for surfing, diving and snorkelling. .

You can add any number of beach nights you want, alternatively we added 4 nights on the beach after the island wide tour of Sri Lanka.

Day 11: DEPARTURE

Today you will be dropped at the airport for your return journey
