Itinerary

Day 1: NEGOMBO

Meet, Greet and you will be transferred to your hotel in Negombo. Rest of the afternoon at leisure to relax and venture out to try Negombo’s numerous dining options.

Day 2: NEGOMBO > HABARANA

Today after breakfast your tour of Sri Lanka begin with an epic journey through the island’s rural villages take you to the ancient capital Cultural Triangle to visit some of the county’s fascinating sites. En-route you will stop at Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, the home to the largest group of orphaned elephants in the world. The sight of herds of elephants splashing and playing in a river has charmed countless visitors.

Check in at the hotel and later explore the beautiful and decorative ancient Golden Cave temples at Dambulla which consist more than 150 statues and about 1500 paintings in 5 separate caves in a gigantic boulder.

Day 3: ACTIVITIES IN THE CULTURAL TRIANGLE

After an early breakfast head to the Sigirya and climb this amazing rock fortress, the ancient rock fortress and palace of Sigiriya is one of the seven World Heritage Sites of Sri Lanka.

Afternoon travel to Polonnaruwa and explore the ruins of this royal medieval capital of Sri Lanka. The 3 huge rock-cut images of Buddha are the highlights and one of the world’s great artistic treasures.

Day 4: HABARANA > KANDY

After breakfast proceed to Kandy, the last kingdom of Sri Lanka. On the way to Kandy stop at a Sri Lankan’s spice & herbal garden for an educational tour of how Sri Lankan’s spicing things up.

On reaching Kandy check in at the hotel, in the late evening your driver will take you to the temple where a sacred tooth relic of the Lord Buddha is enshrined. We strongly recommend you to participate in the evening pooja for a magical experience.

Day 5: ACTIVITIES IN KANDY

Today you will discover Kandy with a city tour including a walk around the lake, bazaars of Kandy and the royal family’s botanical garden and the orchid house. After lunch at a local restaurant you are free to explore Kandy at your own pace or take a dip in the hotels swimming pool or take a boat ride on the Mahaweli River.

Day 6: KANDY > HAPUTALE

After breakfast drive through the tea covered hills and mountains into the nation’s tea-growing highlands of Ella. En-route stop at a tea plantation for a typical Ceylon tea experience. The rest of the day at leisure or explore Haputale with some great walks in the area.

Day 7: ACTIVITIES IN HAPUTALE

Today it’s a good day to go on a trekking trip to Horton Plains and World’s End with picnic breakfast, a strange windswept plateau 6500 ft. Trek through a tropical cloud forest and open grasslands for the best views in Sri Lanka. Also stop at the one of the beautiful waterfalls Bakers Falls inside the plains. Return back to the hotel and rest of the day you can do your own activities.

Day 8: HAPUTALE > YALA

Today after breakfast take the winding hill road down to the south east of Sri Lanka to reach Yala, Sri Lanka’s most popular wildlife region. An optional hiking trip to Mini Adam’s Peak in Ella is highly recommended for those who looking for bit adventure. Before heading to Yala you will be stopped at Ravana Ella waterfalls for a quick photo op.

Day 9: YALA > GALLE

Today with pack breakfast an exclusive private jeep safari will be arranged at Yala National Park with an expert wildlife trekker. Yala National Park home to the world’s densest leopard populations. On this safari you will witness spotting leopards and countless other animals including sloth bear, deer, wild boar, crocodiles and numerous species of birds.

On completion return back to the hotel, freshen up and continue the journey on the southern picture postcard coastal road to Galle. En-route you will be stopped in many beautiful places to explore and experience some of Sri Lanka’s famous attractions such as “stilt fisherman” and “baby turtle farm”. Check in at your hotel and rest of the day at leisure.

Day 10: GALLE

After a leisurely breakfast you can explore this beautifully maintained Dutch Fort, is one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic images and is said to be the best-preserved fortified city in Asia. Walking around the myriad of streets today is a real treat. Most of the buildings of the fort mask the wonders that are to be found inside them; cavernous structures with grand rooms. A combination of historical and architectural significance had led Galle fort to be declared a world heritage site. There are many other activities you can experience here including a nice Sri Lankan meal in a local restaurant.

Day’s 11, 12 & 13: GALLE TO BENTOTA

Today you will be taken to Sri Lanka’s one of the prestigious beach location “Bentota”, we have included 3 nights stay to complete your trip in Sri Lanka with plenty of opportunities to explore in and around Bentota. You can decide on the number of nights you want stay depending on your desire we can do the needful.

Day 14: DEPARTURE

Today you will be dropped at the airport for your return journey
